Your Questions About Affiliate Marketing Programs

James asks…
What is the difference between the viral marketing and affiliate programme?
admin answers:
Viral marketing is the practice of getting a marketing message through people who send recommendations to their friends. You frequently see “Send to a friend” link. These work well because people trust their friends a lot more than they do marketers, and friends tend to know what you may be interested in.
Affiliate marketing is the practice of having vendors sell a company’s products and make a commision. For example, could create a web site and sell Amazon.com’s book on my web site (maybe it’s a specialized site on Music Publishing), each book I sell from people I sent to Amazon from my site would earn me a % of the sale. You can signup to an affiliate network like Linkshare.com to have access to many vendor
s products.

Sandy asks…
Is GDI the best affiliate marketing opportunity?
I joined GDI and got two websites, www.howland.ws and www.dennishowland.ws. I am new to affiliate marketing. Did I make a wise choice to join GDI? Nothing is happening with my websites so far. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get traffic to these sites? Is there a better, more lucrative affiliate program that I could consider?

Jenny asks…
Can someone please explain what affiliate marketing is for a self-help program or Bible program?
I met a guy who is an affiliate marketer for self help programs. What does this mean and how does it work?
admin answers:
It means he is an intermediary between the merchant and the seller. He gets a cut of the sale is someone buys it from him. Kind of like a commission.
